QF 501 - BNE to SYD in economy class

-Overview-

On today's flight, I was flying from Brisbane to Hong Kong via Sydney. Brisbane has 2 daily flights from BNE-HKG with a 3rd flight connecting via Cairns, the reason for my flight down to Sydney then onwards to Hong Kong was due to Qantas operating the A380 between SYD-HKG and I'd rather take the A380 over an A330 any day of the week ;) .

-Check In-

Since I flying towards Sydney first, I checked in at the Qantas Domestic Terminal at Brisbane airport and because I'm flying onwards to Hong Kong after landing in Sydney, I went to the Qantas International transfers desk located right beside the domestic check-in Kiosks and Baggage drop counters. The international transfers check-in is done by Qantas staff, just to make sure the machine doesn't make a mistake.

-Lounge-

The Qantas business class lounge is located behind the escalators once you're past security at the top. It's a spacious lounge with great breakfast options, there a multiple choices of juices and freshly made barista coffee, just what you need for an energy kick at 5am. Inside the lounge, you'll also find showers, bathrooms, a stock exchange board and friendly staff.

-Flight-

Today's flight was on a refurbished Qantas 737-800 with the IFE being played through QStreaming which you can download from the App Store or Google store for free. The flight was very smooth and since QF501 is a 5am departure out of Brisbane to Sydney, the plane wasn't very full. Everybody onboard the airport got a seat between them and the other passenger. On the flight down to Sydney, breakfast was served with a juice or coffee, which I declined as I decided to fill myself up at the lounge, before the flight.

Another flawless flight on the flying Kangaroo, Faultless service once again! Freshly comfortable new seats and a happy crew!
